Payment details

Competitive team fees are paid via Zelle or check directly to the club. This keeps our administrative costs low and ensures your full payment goes toward coaching and development — not processing fees. Payment details will be provided when you receive your offer to join a team.

Camps and Recreational payments are processed through our secure registration portal on Active Network. You can pay by credit card or debit card at the time of registration.

We offer a 3-payment plan for our competitive teams. More details on our enrollment page. Camps and recreational programs are paid in full at registration.

Full refunds if request within 30 days of offer date and/or before August 15th. Exceptions may be made for injuries, relocation, or family emergencies. Contact us at admin@cupertinofc.org to request a refund or discuss. More details on our competitive teams enrollment page and our camps and recreational enrollment page.

Getting Started

Start on our Registration page. For our competitive teams, register for a tryout. For our camps and recreational, you can register directly. Competitive registration details are provided after tryouts. Camps and recreational registration is handled through our secure portal on Active Network.

We have programs for players ages 3 through 18. Our competitive teams are organized by birth year (U8 through U18). Our camps and recreational programs are grouped by age and skill level.

Not for our camps or recreational programs — those are open to all skill levels, including complete beginners. For competitive teams, we hold tryouts to assess fit, but we evaluate effort and potential, not just current ability. Many of our competitive players started with no club experience.

Yes. Our teams play in the boys divisions, but are co-ed. Our camps and recreational programs are open to boys and girls.

Tryouts

Yes. Our main tryout window runs from May 3rd – June 28th, however, we evaluate players year-round when roster spots are available. To schedule a tryout, simply fill out the registration form on our Tryouts page and we will confirm a date and time within 24 hours. Note: If you are currently on a NorCal club, and trying out outside of our main tryout window, you will need written permission from your club’s director of coaching before trying out. Contact for more details.

Yes. There is no charge for tryouts.

Absolutely. We evaluate effort, coachability, and potential — not just current skill level. Many of our best players started with no competitive experience.

We’ll give you honest feedback and recommend the best path forward, whether that’s our recreational program, a camp, or trying out again next season. There’s always a place for a willing player at Cupertino FC.

Competitive teams train 3 times per week, year round, with 1–2 games on weekends during spring and fall seasons. See our full fee breakdown on the FAQ & Fees page.

We encourage multi-sport athletes. We’ll work with you on scheduling. Just let us know your child’s other commitments upfront.

Yes, parents are welcome to watch from the sideline.

The Competitive Program

Competitive teams practice 3 times per week and have 1–2 games on weekends. Training is year-round; games are played during the Fall season (August–November) and Spring season (March–June).

Our teams compete in NorCal Premier leagues. Teams are placed in Premier, Gold, Silver, Bronze, or Copper divisions based on their level — we find the right level of competition for each team so players are challenged but not overwhelmed. More details on the NorCal website,

We believe that meaningful playing time is essential to development. While we can’t guarantee equal minutes in every game (competitive situations vary), our roster sizes ensure that every player gets significant game time throughout the season. No player will sit on the bench game after game.

Not at all. We encourage multi-sport athletes and will work with your family on scheduling. Just let your coach know about other commitments at the start of the season so we can plan accordingly.

We understand that conflicts happen. Just communicate with your coach in advance. Consistent attendance matters for team development, but we’re reasonable and flexible with families who communicate.

Yes, in some cases. When a player’s development warrants it, we offer opportunities to guest play or train with an older age group. These decisions are made by our coaching staff in conversation with your family. If you believe your child is ready for an additional challenge, talk to their coach.

Logistics

Training takes place at Kennedy Middle School, Creekside Park, and Jollyman Park in Cupertino, and Anderson Elementary School in San Jose. Your team’s specific location will be confirmed when you join.

Soccer cleats, shin guards, and a water bottle. For competitive players, a uniform kit (jersey, shorts, socks) is provided for purchase at the start of the season. For camps and rec, your child can wear any comfortable athletic shoes if they don’t have cleats yet.

Our jerseys are bought from our partner SoccerKraze in Campbell. You can contact them and order the jerseys online. We recommend you order your child’s jerseys 2-3 weeks before their first game, especially during the start of the season. Red Adidas socks and red shorts are available from any retailer. The total cost is about $100 – $150.
Recreational and camp participants do not need a uniform — any comfortable athletic wear is fine.

Practice is cancelled when AQI exceeds 150 or during heavy rain and lightning. Field closures by the City of Cupertino also result in automatic cancellation. Coaches will notify families through TeamSnap at least one hour before the scheduled session. We do our best to minimize disruptions to the season schedule, but cancelled sessions are not guaranteed to be made up.

We don’t formally organize carpools, but many of our families coordinate among themselves. Your team manager can help connect you with nearby families for ride-sharing.

All competitive players are covered by insurance through our CalNorth/NorCal registration. You will be asked to provide a copy of your child’s medical insurance card and sign a medical waiver at registration.
