What Makes Us Different?

Your Child, Not a Number

Big Clubs manage rosters. We develop individuals. With an 8:1 player-to-coach ratio, every athlete gets a personalized training plan, meaningful playing time, and coaches who know their name, their strengths, and their next step.

Science that Keeps Them on the Field

Our training is built on sports science, not guesswork. Technical Director Bob Joyce uses kinesiology-based methods to help athletes move faster, cut sharper, and build strength the right way — so they perform better and get injured less.

More Than Wins

Soccer is how we teach discipline, decision-making, and resilience. Our players don’t just compete on the field — they develop the confidence and leadership skills that carry into the classroom, college applications, and life.

Programs

All of our programs employ professional coaching from certified instructors, trained by our technical director Bob Joyce.

Bob Joyce

50+ Years of Experience | Sport-Science Expert | 24-25 CalNorth Coach of the Year

Bob Joyce has a singular reputation for elevating elite talent. His athletes have gone on to play at the college level, the professional level, and for the United States Women’s National Team – Including Vice Captain Naomi Girma.

I will forever be grateful to Bob Joyce … he started my whole path to the National Team and everything. Having that push changed my life.

Naomi Girma, USWNT Defender & Olympic Gold Medalist

Bob doesn’t just “run drills.” His approach is rooted in biomechanics and data-driven performance. He studies how each player moves, identifies mechanical inefficiencies, and designs training that builds speed, agility, and durability from the ground up.

At Cupertino FC, every coach is trained in Bob’s proprietary methodology—ensuring your child receives the benefit of 5-decades of experience.

Our Philosophy

At Cupertino FC we shape tomorrow’s leaders through athletics. While mega-clubs treat players like numbers to chase weekend trophies, we use scientific training to unlock your child’s true potential. We use the game to teach the discipline, resilience, and focus required for academic and lifelong success. Our true victories are not the hardware we win, but by the character we build.
